The last day of March and time for another little Instagram round up for the last couple of months. Here is a little selection from my feed of late:
Earlier last month I popped into The Vitrine to check out a new addition to their warehouse, another space next door dedicated entirely to restored furniture. Like always, everything in there is swoon worthy and certainly a must to check out. I have to say that if I were renovating a house, I’d beg and plead them for that green door that’s not for sale!
At the end of last month, I flew to Sydney for short break to celebrate my mothers 70th birthday. My sisters and I took her away for the weekend to the beautiful seaside village of Currarong on the south coast. Mum spent her childhood holidays there, as we did so we all spent a wonderful weekend together reminiscing.
I arrived back home to wake up sick the following morning and spent a couple of days in this position. Not a good memory, but here you get to see a little of my living room.
A gorgeous summer’s day spent at the wild Bethells Beach on the west coast of Auckland. The highlight was this cool and only café there. Such a great vibe, I felt like I was back in Bali.
This is the end of lunch Mamie Annie prepared for us before heading back to France. Need I say more? If you didn’t catch it on Friday, you can find the recipe here.
Finally, I little vignette for my Instagram followers.
Are you on Instagram? If you’re not, it’s such a fun place to be and a little addictive – you should give it a go. These are just a few of many photos on my feed. You can follow me by my user name @mel_chesneau – hope to see you there!

Lovely pics Mel – I seem to have somehow missed all these posts on my feed so I’m glad you shared them! x
Great pics Mel – do you only use one type of filter? I like the grainy feel to the images…
Hi Anastasia. Yes with the iPhone pics I do – or in the same family. I use vsco filters, they’re great. xx
Mel, your instagram pictures are beautiful and you now have a new follower :). Thanks for the inspiration. xDoris
Thank you Doris! You’ve got a lovely feed too:)
I love IG but not at the expense of blogs. I feel IG is sometimes too much and people just post too often and are not enough selective.
Having said that your feed is great and i enjoy it very much xx
The empty plates tell such a story…..
It’s funny, I was just thinking of a few of my favourite blogs that seem to be replaced by IG – such a shame. I like it as an accompaniment and agree that people must edit! It’s a nice way to get to know people a little better. Mel x
Lovely instamoments, as always! That beach picture looks really cool and I love every single piece in the first and last picture.
Thanks Lena! Oh you’d just love The Vitrine, such a great shop. xx
Great pics! I just love IG…but I haven’t had so much time stay there lately… Have a lovely week!
Thanks Kreetta. You too xx
