I’ve got coat racks on the mind. I’ve wanted to buy one for years but have always avoided it in fear of it becoming this huge dumping place for anything and everything. I wonder if this rings true for any of you? Well I finally did it, and purchased some Muuto Dots while in Sydney. Sadly they still haven’t gone up – I’m guessing that’s why they’re still on my mind!
A coat rack that is a good piece of design looks fantastic in an entry while giving the home a warm, lived in kind of look. All you, or should I say “I” need, is a bit of constraint with how much ends up on it.
Here is the short list of my three favourites that would grace my entry in a flash! My prerequisite was for a bit of a statement along with something that wouldn’t have me leaving my house with that dreaded hook mark at the back of my shoulders:
First up is the Hang-Up! by Salvatore+Marie for Kristalia. I love how cute they look all lined up in this image and you can have many as you like depending on your space and needs. The rounded edges will protect your garments while adding some design to your area.
Of course I had to include the one that I will be throwing my things over very soon… The Muuto Dots Coat Hangers are stylish and versatile. You can arrange them on your wall any which way to create the look you want and the five dots come in three different sizes and a variety of colours to suit your décor.
The X Hanger is such a simple yet fantastic idea. It can act as a clothes hanger as well as a hook. With this you could display your gorgeous outfits as wall art or simply throw garments over any which way.
Which coat rack would you choose? See you Wednesday!
What great design pieces. You’ve inspired me now to address my coat storage problem :)
I agree Gemma! Now to get that husband of mine to put the Muuto Dots up;-)
I love your sense of style Mel, all these hangers are so simple and look so good in a room.
Thanks Catherine x
I think I like the last ones. so different and functional too.
P.S. Yes to your comment on my blog about the space shuttle. We did see it. I posted a photo on my Facebook. My husband got some great pics. Teri
Hi Teri, I’m thinking of putting some in my little girl’s room for the outfits that need to hang – we’re taking her wardrobe space! I’ll check your pics out soon:)
