Daylight savings is here and we had beautiful weather yesterday, so I’ve got summer on the mind! I’m dreaming of long balmy evenings entertaining outdoors, the smell of the neighbour’s barbeques wafting through the air and the laughter of kids playing outside and splashing in the pool until bedtime. It’s hard to not be happy in the summertime.
It’s also the time of year where we gain an extra room. We haven’t dressed our outdoor space yet and I’m searching around for something not too serious. I do love these French bistro chairs and tables by Fermob, I could have so much fun mixing and matching with the huge range of colours that they offer.
I’m a big fan of barbeques, in fact we cook most of our meals on one in the summer, but I never imagined that I would put “barbeque” and “elegant” in the same sentence until I saw this gas grill by Eva Solo.
Having an adult swing in my garden is something I’ve always dreamt about, and I think this one by Paola Lenti would do the trick. I can just imagine curling up on this on a Sunday afternoon with an aperitif in hand watching the birds come to feed on this stunning bird feeder, also by Eva Solo.
What’s your favourite thing about the home in the summertime?
As I write this, the sun is peaking through the grey clouds so fingers crossed for some more sunny weather. Hope the sun is shining for you where ever you may be. See you Wednesday!
My gosh, Fermob is super high on our to do list. It’s actually a style that BOTH my husband and I love! Too bad their price tag is quite high too =( we’re saving up – hopefully something for next summer =)
Hi Starlet, I know I just love it. The other option is trying to find some second hand or in the vintage style which I love. M x
It’s beautiful weather in Melbourne here today too. All your outdoor choices are beautiful and perfect. We’ve been wanting one of those hanging egg pod seats for our deck for ages and my youngest daughter would be so envious you have a pool! As you said it’s hard not to be happy in summertime. Have you got Stephane Reynaud’s book “Barbeque”? I think you and your husband would love the recipes.
Hi Catherine, I’ll take a look at the book thanks! Not our pool I’m afraid, it’s our neighbours:)
