Guest Post for CULTIVER Blog
Today I’d love for you to come visit me for my guest post over at the stylish CULTIVER blog where I will show you our gorgeous vintage Moroccan copper tray table and how I’ve mixed ethnic with contemporary in our living room.
Franco Albini, The Rattan Design Edge
With summer closer in the southern hemisphere, I thought I’d do a post on the good old rattan style chair as this kind of furniture is so comfortable in the warmer months with their airy flexible frames.
Mantle Love
I love mantles, not only are they a decorative feature, it’s a place to showcase some of my little treasures. We are lucky enough to have this gorgeous one in our home; I adore the moodiness of the painted black.
Mismatched Vintage Plates
On a recent trip to France, Guillaume returned home with a handful of precious plates and bowls from his Grandmother’s house. I really like the mix of styles he chose, they look fantastic together the way they clash.
Ponsonby Central open for business
Last night saw the long anticipated Ponsonby Central launch in Auckland, a complex housing a produce market, street food, eateries, bars and homewares. It’s been done with impeccable taste, keeping the best of the warehouse it once was with large open beam ceilings, painted industrial pipes and a metal walkway bridge with each of the stores having their own individual stylish fit-outs.
Wrapped with Hello Paper
With Christmas fast approaching and thoughts of beautiful ways to wrap gifts and a little DIY decorating on my mind, I’ve been on the look out for beautiful products to work with. Today I am featuring a lovely homeware and paper goods online shop, Hello Paper. The shop is only a few months young with an evolving product range that is all reasonably priced and they ship internationally!
Milano’s Flavour – Trattoria Bagutta
Today I’m sharing a very special restaurant in Milan, Italy. My husband was in there a couple of months ago and it was just by chance that he ended up in the Trattoria Bagutta, which without his knowing, is a bit of an institution in Milan. Guillaume was absolutely captivated by the place and took a number of photos with his phone to show me.
5 Food Questions with Liz & Jewels
Today on the blog, a new regular feature where I’ll ask foodies whom I admire, five quick questions. It’s the same concept as “5 decorating questions with…” and I intend to alternate the two.
