A couple of months back I wrote of my lack of green in the home after moving countries. Since that post I realised that I had a little dilemma in the name of a toddler who would just love to get her fingers into the soil of the indoor plants and wipe it everywhere. My immediate fix is to hang them and I’m excited by my latest purchase; the Sky Planter by boskke. I’ve had my eye on it for some time now, I’ve always loved the simple elegance of it and how the plants look against the smooth ceramic – and not a drop of soil on the floor nor muddy wall art! So I’m getting there, bringing a little outdoor in. I think I might get a couple more of the smaller sizes to balance it off.
My next project is to get a floor plant and secure some hessian on top of the soil – who knows, I may even get away with it looking like a statement as opposed to something toddler proof. Do you have any ideas for hiding the soil? What do you think of the upside down look?
I purchased the Sky Planter at the new pop up Simon James Concept Store in Herne Bay, Auckland. Check the boskke website for a distributor near you.

Mel I really like this idea it’s perfect for when you have young children. It’s very stylish, love your painting as well. Look forward to popping in tomorrow to see what you have for us.
Thanks Catherine. Yes, loving the sky planter:)
What a lovely find, Mel! I have a wall planter with 4 tiny plants which I love too. It is like a little hanging garden. How do you water the plant though?
Hi Gudy, that planter sounds gorgeous. It’s super easy to water, a little section at the top and it drip waters as needed – probably a good thing for me as I tend to over or under water!
