Mamie Annie & Lou

Hi friends! I just walked in the door from ten glorious days away in the Wenderholm and Tawharanui Regional Parks.  After taking a break during the Christmas down period I decided to keep posting while I was away using my laptop and mobile 3G. Half way into the break we changed locations and the city girl in me was shocked when I saw that I had no 3G coverage! Sometimes we have no control over situations, so I took a deep breath and road with it. I must say that I’m feeling rather rejuvenated, I slept in often thanks to Mamie Annie, I went for long walks without the children thanks to Mamie Annie, I think I prepared only one meal, thanks again to Mamie Annie. Needless to say, as a mother of three children under five, it was a real break!

So here we are already the 1st of February and as promised, I’m sharing my favourite posts from the blogosphere for the month of January in no particular order:

Creating quality original content is something that I always strive to achieve so the post by Chris Gardner for Alt Summit really spoke to me. If you’re a blogger, I recommend you check it out: How to Use Your Editorial Calendar to Grow Your Readership

With all of the possibilities of a new year, Heather of HBDesign post recommending Three Life Changing Reads came at the perfect time. I downloaded one of them, “The Habit” on my Kindle, which I just started reading, and will certainly move on to her other recommendations.

Gudy from Eclectic Trends is an interior stylist and trainer in visual merchandising and she travels the globe visiting the various trade shows. With Pantone announcing emerald green as the colour of 2013, Gudy wrote about what the colour trends that dominated the recent Cologne IMM trade show.  She then continued with another informative post on the material trend report. I ticked a few boxes from her list, can you?

Happy reading everyone and see you back here on Monday!
