I’ll be honest; my husband and I don’t celebrate Valentines Day. It’s not that I don’t think it’s a nice idea, a bit like anniversaries; it’s good to have an excuse to reflect and celebrate what you have together. For some reason, early on, we decided not to and instead try to be a bit more spontaneous. It works for us. I wonder how many other people out there are the same?
So on the eve of Valentines Day I thought it would be appropriate to share three stunning candelabras that I would love to light any old time, be it for a nice meal or simply while we share a bottle wine long after the kids have gone to bed. In fact, if I did own one of these, perhaps I might light it tomorrow night, just because…
From left to right, top to bottom:
The More The Merrier Candlestick by Louise Campbell for MUUTO
Designed to blend the formal and informal, it’s decadence with a twist. It also comes in grey or white.
Raw Candelabra by Jens Fager for MUUTO
This candelabra gives the feeling of strength in the way it’s balanced. Each peace are entirely unique as they are carved by hand giving it a lovely texture. Also available in bright green.
Sometimes less is more and that’s certainly the case for simplicity of the U design. It’s made from a copper tube bent to 180 degrees and looks ever so elegant. Other metals available are stainless steel and brass.
I don’t have any favourites here, they are each beautiful in their own right and environment, in fact I’m certainly one for mixing and think they could all look quite striking together in one room. What about you – any favourites?
See you Friday.

We don’t celebrate it either, but I do love the idea of a candlelit dinner! All three are gorgeous but I can’t resist anything by Muuto. The black one would be my pick – stunning! x
@ Michelle, I knew you’d pick that one;-) M x
First one is my favourite ! :)
Very glam isn’t it Marie?
