Hi friends! I have lots of news that I want to share with you so I’m dedicating an entire post to it today. I thought for the post image I’d take photo of a larger view of our bedroom so that you can see what I’ve done with the mirrors on the wall. What do you think? Just for the fun, I took a close up of my muddy Supergas, a reminder that we’ve just come out of winter and many a wet playground visits!
First up and some big news, is that I’ve been asked by The General Trading Co. to teach a free 30-minute taster course, “How To Write & Manage a Blog”. This is targeted towards anyone that would like to write a blog for themselves or their business. Attendees will walk away with simple steps of how to get started and continue with their blog. You can take this particular free 30-minute taster class on Saturday November 23. Depending on popularity, on a later date I will come back and teach a full course to help attendees take their blog to the next level! Writing a blog has been such a rewarding experience for me, so if you’ve ever dreamt of writing your own blog, I hope that I can be the one to help you get it off the ground. The General Trading Co. has quite a range of really interesting free courses on offer that’s running each weekend so make sure you check their website and register your interest. Such a great idea!
The next piece of news is that I’ve decided to dedicate the entire month of December on the blog to all things Kiwi (that’s New Zealander if you didn’t know)! Since moving here, I’m in constant awe of what this tiny little nation produces in design, decoration, homewares and food so I thought it would be so much fun to explore this further, share with you what I already know and love along with some new discoveries. If you feel that what you do or produce fits in the style of this blog and would like the chance to get featured during New Zealand Month, or perhaps you’d like to see someone else here, write me an email and let me know!
Next up, do you remember that my previous house got shot for a magazine story? These things can take a long time to get published but I just got word that it should be out in the next few months which is super exciting for me!!! I had a look at the proofs not long after the shoot and I have to say that the photographer did a fabulous job. I have no idea what the final will look like so it will be just as much a surprise for me. I promise to let you know once it’s out.
Finally, I attended Home Magazine’s Style Safari on Friday. It was such a brilliant day, really informative and enjoyed by all. I look forward to sharing my impressions of the day with you later this week.
See you Wednesday!
Mel x
