Over the weekend it was my pleasure to be a guest at The Inner Interior for a monthly column called, “The Voice of the Vignette”. The concept is for a blogger or designer to create a vignette in their home, photograph it and share what meaning it holds for them. I really enjoyed this theme and hope that you pop over and have a look at my little scene and the story behind it.
Interior designer and writer, Jocelyn Cassey authors The Inner Interior and has such a refreshing vision for interiors so do stay a while and you’ll see that it gets a little deeper than you might expect for an interiors blog.

Gorgeous and so you. I love that series. The funny thing is that showing a couple of Vignettes can tell us so much about that person. Beautiful. xx
It’s very true and yes it’s a great series. I wish I had more room to do them here, I’m lacking surface space. Mel xx
Your vignette is lovely Mel, so peaceful and calm. I love that you change it to reflect your mood and that it’s in your bedroom, an oasis away from the chaos of the house. xD
Thanks Doris xx
It’s lovely that you have a special space in your bedroom to move to when you need to. The view from your kitchen table sounds inspiring, what beautiful places to work from Mel.
Oh it is just lovely even on a rainy day like today. But I’m starting to think that I might permanently move into the bedroom because I find I focus there more – less distractions! M xx
Mel, it was lovely to have you as a guest on The Inner Interior. You captured the essence of this series so well with your story behind the material. For me personally, it is so important to discover the deeper meaning within the material and not just the “stuff”. After all, the materials can come and go but the meaning is held sacredly in our hearts forever. Thank you for being you. Jocelyn xx
So true Jocelyn and thank you for bringing our awareness to that very idea. Thanks again for thinking of me and have fun in Europe! Mel xx
Just popped over and commented Mel. Love your pictures and the fact you have a space you change to suit your mood. Very creative lovely xx
Thank you Caroline. I have a couple of places to do that. It’s a fun and rewarding exercise to do. Big hugs! M xx
It’s beautiful! Totally get why you use this sweet space. hxxx
Thanks Hege xx
What an interesting idea and new way to focus on designers and their world!
It is and we all love to have a little peek into people’s homes too. Mel xx
