It’s no secret the benefits of kids getting involved in the cooking from a young age. While at times I have to admit I try to steer them out of the kitchen when I need to whip something up quickly, most of the time I embrace it and they adore it. Two things I make sure they stay clear of though, are boiling liquids and chopping things that requires a sharp knife. Opinel has changed the latter and have released a knife range for little hands called Le Petit Chef.
The set includes a rounded knife with a learning ring to keep the fingers in good position, a peeler, which also includes a learning ring and a finger guard to protect les petites doigts.
This little set is so sweet and it’s so very clever of Opinel, (a household name in France) to come up with. It’s definitely on my “very soon must buy wish list” and I know that my little half Frenchies will be ecstatic.
In New Zealand, Le Petit Chef is stocked at Tessuti in Herne Bay or online.
What a clever idea! My eldest looooves to cook with me, but knives are obviously a no-no. I’ll keep this in mind for a future present ;-)
Good idea for a present! Mel x
So clever idea and the set also looks so cute! I need that also! (not yet, but for the future.. :)
It will come around before you know it. I can’t believe my youngest will soon be three!
Adorable, adorable, adorable!!!!
Is there anything else to say to this?
You absolutely MUST get a set. If you don’t, I will get it for them myself:-) LOL

Ha ha. I will I promise xx
Such a great idea… so clever!
Amazing, love it! I showed the pictures to Paolo, Noam and Lou and they even responded to it. Mel xx
