7 Vignettes Day 3: Holiday

In July last year I interviewed Jen Bishop for 5 Decorating Questions and since then I’ve been “meaning” to jump on board with the 7 Vignettes Challenge. This week I did it – finally!

Have you heard of 7 Vignettes? At the beginning of each month Jen invites a guest judge to decide on the list of daily challenges for participating Instagramers to style to theme. In order to be the winner and receive a prize you need to be an Australian resident however it doesn’t stop anyone from around the world taking part. Last week, the judge was none other than Mr Jason Grant who has just released his second book, Holiday At Home. All of the themes mostly reflected his book and which was the prize.

I thought I’d share with you what I put together. If you’d like to read the meaning behind each vignette, you can click over to my IG feed.

Do you have a favourite of my entries? Mine is without a doubt Day 3: Holiday with the backgammon board. I was chuffed that Jen included my “Day 6: Family” in her daily favourites.

A lot of vignetters take it very seriously and there are some brilliant entries and budding stylists out there. I found that some of the truly aesthetic ones kept to a similar colour pallet, which in itself could be another challenge. I might give that a go next time.

Happy Monday everyone!

Such lovely vignettes! Can’t choose a favourite between those beautiful snaps, but I’m very fond of the Family one:-) The challenge sounds like so much fun and I will give it a shot even though I’m not Aussie:-) Thanks for the tips and the beautiful vignettes dear Mel:-)

Thanks Lena, that one is pretty special to me. You should definitely jump on board next time, it is so much fun to do. I’ll be in back home in Sydney the next time it’s on but I might take part for the challenge of not having my props around. Mel x
