Totokaelo is an online store with a flawlessly curated collection of art and object for the home. I seriously had to contain myself with the amount of images to show here today because it’s one of those rare stores where I would happily purchase pretty much anything – if finances (and space) allowed that is.
When you browse the store, it’s quick to pick up on the enormous amount of thought that has gone into the selected pieces. Each of them carries a similar aesthetic; handmade, keeping form and function in mind, not to mention beauty. Everything useful, yet none of them should be hidden away.
They’ve got a great choice of wall hangings, all of them unique and so interesting. The two shown here are by Julie Thevenot, a French artist living in New York. Pretty special don’t you think?
If I had to pick one or two from my selection, I’d go for the bedside carafe set made from ceramic stoneware, and one of the wall hangings. Do you have a favourite?
You should definitely check out their store, they ship internationally and they’ve also got a dangerous clothes section for the fashionistas!

Oh Mel! You had me at “they ship internationally”. I am headed over there right now! I am loving what I see here…thank you for introducing it. One can always find space for a little something when the budget allows, right? I mean, closets need art and fun accessories too! ha! Hugs and congrats again on this beautiful blog! Jocelyn xx
I should have put that they’re based in the States – even better for you because I think there’s free shipping? Gorgeous stuff huh! M xx
What a striking, modern collection, love it, and what a really beautiful redesign Mel. Well done on taking a bold and brave step – a tremendous leap of faith, no doubt it will pay off. Will continue to follow and enjoy your journey. A xx
I have to contain myself with that store! Thanks Amy for your lovely comment on the redesign, feeling great here:) Big hugs, Mel x
