One of the headline partners of the AMARA Interior Blog awards that I had the pleasure of meeting is GP & J Baker, a company with a longstanding history and known to be one of the worlds innovators of fabric design. They have also been the holder of the Royal Warrant since 1982. If like me and you adore beautiful and timeless fabrics, you could get absolutely lost in their site.
GP & J Baker also produce luxury fabrics, wallpapers and accessories under licence for the coveted Mulberry Home. I’m a little besotted with these designs, so I’m going to talk about their latest fabric collection, ‘Bohemian Travels’.
This story is a sequel the award winning ‘Bohemian Romance”. In their words it is “a tribute to the discerning traveller and collector, this adventurous anthology brings together exciting, inspirational designs with unique, exotic textures and in a palette of radiant, contrasting colours.”
Mulberry, an accessory and fashion brand that is synonymous with luxury and great British style, is certainly living up to this standard in the homewares branch. I love the bohemian theme they’ve created; it couldn’t be more perfect for the now.
I will be updating the covers of my cushions soon and I’d like for it to be something a little unique. Looking at these beautifully styled images, I’m inspired by the fun combinations of fabric, fringe and pom poms. While I could use this as a guide, I quite like the idea of playing around with the textures, colours and trimmings to come up with my very own personalised interior.
