It’s always refreshing to see something that comes along that is completely different to what’s out there in the marketplace. The recently released Iittala x Issey Miyake collection has certainly done just this by collaborating to create functional and decorative pieces for the tabletop. The result is individual with a wow factor.

Summer Aperitif and friendships
If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you would have seen that I recently got back from a week away in the Coromandel. We rented a house with a great big deck with one amazing view. To make the holiday even more special, one of my oldest and dear friends from Australia, Tash, her husband Dave and their two boys were able to visit us for three nights while they were here.
Alexandra Standen Ceramics
A mantel or shelf always calls for at least one large object and I wonder if anyone wouldn’t love for it to be something from Sydney ceramics artist, Alexandra Standen. I admit that I have only just recently discovered her work, but it’s without saying that I’m completely smitten and her ceramics are on my radar to add to my collection.
