Welcome to my Styled Canvas. It feels so good to finally write those words!
It’s been a long time coming and some of you have been incredibly patient waiting for the big reveal. Well here it is and I feel really proud of it.
There’s been a lot of hard work happening behind the scenes. It started back in October last year with Jaclyn from Blog Society who is my coach. I went to her with this idea of rebranding (amongst other things) and she really guided me through the process, eliminated my fears and brought clarity by helping me hone into what really mattered here.
The site was a team effort. Natasha Mead designed the logo and branding. She’s not only super talented but also a great listener and totally “got” what I was after. Larnie Nicolson took the photos of me which is not an easy job, I’m terrible at posing for photos but I love what she did. I didn’t hesitate to call on Stephanie to build the site again. She built my old site so I knew that I could trust her impeccably, she truly goes above and beyond and has worked around the clock to pull this together for me.
In the coming weeks, I’ve got some nice stories coming up for you. The first one, this Friday, will be of some incredibly talented makers here in Auckland that I had the privilege of photographing in action.
After the Easter holidays and for six weeks, I will be hosting some fantastic giveaways for you from some of my generous sponsors. Here’s a little hint of what you could win:

Congrats Mel! Your blog has born again! I pet it was difficult to decide the new name :) To me it would have been awful task to rename my blog. You’ve done it well! Design is modern and surely thought through. It’s been pleasure to follow your growth as a blogger to be pro one. I wish you great new start and happy days with blogging! I still follow you :)

Thanks Tina. Yes it does feel right. I can’t take the credit, just a good photographer (and post production ha!). Yes the pop up, there is a debate with that sort of thing, but to answer your question, no, it won’t be around all the time. I think it’s set for once a month or something. This is absolutely amazing Mel, what you and the creatives pulled together in just months, absolutely love EVERYTHING about it.
The background, the layout, the font, logo, colour, background, images etc etc, all work together so very well. So so so very pround of you and what you guys have achieved my friend.
AP&C and Styled Canvas are both your homes and this experience of browsing your new site is like visiting your newly renovated home. I can almost smell the paint! I love it, seriously, a lot, it is so tranquil and this might be weird to say, its very calming, it’s like i have just been invited to your world and your world is captivating and I am drawn to linger and to take a deep breathe and just hang out. Absolutely great work Mel not to mention your hubby and your kids, all champions in making this project comes alive!
