Megan Morton

Today I’m completely honoured to have stylist, Megan Morton answer my 5 Decorating Questions.

Megan is one of Australia’s leading stylist to celebrities, magazines and even her lucky neighbours. She is known to work her magic in any space she touches and when you view her work on her website, you understand why she is so highly regarded.

Megan truly came to my attention when I started hearing the buzz about The School, a space where the best of the best in craft, styling and design come to share their know-how in day workshops. Think anything from Photoshop and Illustrator for Bloggers and Beginners to Pinapple Piñata Class or even Design a Swing! The idea is brilliant, the “school” looks super cool and being one of Megan’s students in her Science of Styling class on a visit home to Sydney, is very high up on my wish list.

Megan has also published two interior books; Home Love and the most recent, Things I Love and she kindly answered my questions in the midst of packing up to move house – how great is that!

Over to you Megan…

How would you describe your style?

A result of my continual interest in mixing different styles, genres and eras.

Where do you find inspiration?

Literally everywhere – most times my mind is paralyzed by it!

Do you have any advice for people who don’t feel confident in decorating?

Find your comfort zone immediately – a good room is done with confidence.

What’s the best thing you’ve purchased for the home?

Paintings – they give me constant joy.

In five years…

I am trying to shake the burden if having ‘beautiful’ things and ‘living’ in the moment rather than ‘styling’ the moment.

Thanks so much Megan it’s been lovely having you visit!

I have to say my most favourite thing is waking up every morning and tapping into all my Instagram friends down under to see what creative things you’ve all been up to that day! Everything on her site just looks fabulous. Lovely feature! Cxx
