Jan's New Elements by Paola Navone

Oh could I dream a little bit here? I was flipping through the ECC Milan Report and was immediately drawn to the new modular sofa, Jan’s New Elements by Paola Navone for Linteloo.

I’m such a fan of linen sheets, so it’s no surprise that the idea of linen loose covers for a sofa that can be changed on a whim makes my heart skip a few beats, not to mention that it has been designed by Paola Navone.  The colour choice for this particular sofa is so serene and the couch looks so comfy that I just feel like diving into it with a good book in hand. I’m still dreaming here.

As someone who has moved three times in two years, I appreciate the interchangeability of modular sofas more than ever. Even before we moved from Sydney, we updated our living room a couple of times by rearranging and changing the configuration. Rearranging things in the home is so important to freshen things up don’t you think? I remember the pride we took sitting down for an aperitif in our “new room” each time we redecorated.  Jan’s New Elements also has the option to be an outdoor sofa, making it truly versatile.

Paola Navone has designed a few sofas for Linteloo already and was originally approached to collaborate by Jan te Lintelo, who, like most of us was fascinated by Paola’s designs. They in turn became great friends before coming up with their first prototype – a common theme to my last post.

See you Friday lovely readers.

You are a fan of linen sheets and I adore Paola Navone! Everything she does, is just great weather we talk about her own apartment in Paris, other residences she is been working on or her designs at Gervasoni. And yes, I ‘ve seen loads of modular sofas at the Salone in Milan this Spring. You just need quite some space to be able to create a nice island with them!
Have you worked on your blog design lately, Mel? It looks so clean!! Love it.
