If I had to pick one place on the Internet where I’d go to put a smile on my face, Bright Bazaar would definitely be high up on the list. Authored by Will Taylor, this extremely successful blog has just celebrated five years online. Always written in a friendly voice, Will shares his love of decor, fondness for baking and his (many) travel adventures. Also the talented photographer, his readers are forever spoilt with beautiful imagery.
Exciting things are happening for Will with the launch of The Bright Bazaar Book next month and we’ve just heard that it will be published in, wait for it – five languages! If like me, you can’t wait to get your hands on a copy, you can pre-order the UK and American versions online through Amazon UK and Amazon US.
With all of this amazing success, Will is still an approachable “young chap from the UK who is unashamedly hooked on hue” and I’m so very happy to have him here today, answering my 5 Decorating Questions!

How would you best describe your style?
Eclectic. Colourful. Welcoming. Comfortable. Whimsical.
Is there any one person in particular that has influenced your love of colour?
I admire both Vivienne Westwood and Matthew Williamson for their bold, fearless and forward thinking approach to hue. I was so thrilled to see Matthew’s London home grace the cover of Elle Decoration UK a few years back.
If you could splurge on one thing for the home, what would it be?
I think it would have to be the Saarinen Tulip Table in white marble for it’s timeless (and beautiful!) shape.
Old or new?
Like most things in life I think the key word is Balance. Whether it’s a mix of old and new, high and low or neutrals and colour, when it comes to interior design I like to see a mix of pieces and styles. A room full of antiques turns me off as much as something that looks like the carbon copy of a catalogue!
Great decoration…
… evolves and matures over time.

It is just fab to see Will over here. We spent some time together last year at the Blog Tour in LA and I can can confirm that being besides a very talented young man, he is a great person, super helpful and very down to earth.
