6 bloggers, 3 Christmas Wishes Part 2
Lena from Minamoka
Personal gift: My personal wish would be a class I can take. Some me-time. I have two kids and work almost full time. If I have some free time I like to read the newspaper or write a blogpost. But I’d like to be forced to get outside, be challenged, get my hands dirty, do something that doesn’t have to do with my work (the film and publishing world) or my family. I’d love to take ceramics classes, for example – but to make it easier to put a link here, I’ll suggest a photography class that includes exploring the city.
7 bloggers, 3 Christmas wishes Part 1
A person’s gift wish list says a lot about them, their personal taste and of course, where they are in their lives at that particular moment. I thought as we come to the close of the year and for the fun, I’d ask some of my talented blogging friends who have previously been my On The Wall or My Space guest, what they would like if they had three wishes this Christmas. One needed to be personal, one for the home and one that was beyond themselves. I wish I had a magic wand to grant all of these wishes, particularly number three, which you can feel that they are so passionate about. Perhaps you can send them each a bit of Christmas cheer of your own and pop over to each of their equally amazing blogs that they worked so hard on during this year and say hi.
Rebranding the blog | Update
You may have noticed that I’ve stepped back to doing only two posts a week lately. To be honest I need that extra day (and more) to truly focus on where I want to take this blog and the rebranding. It’s a massive task.
Big Changes Coming
Hello everyone. I just wanted to pop in very late in the day for me to say hi and to share some news with you.
It’s always good to grow and change, and one thing that has been on my mind for the past months is how I can better this blog. I really love being here and I have so many exciting ideas in the works but there has always been this one niggling thing that I knew had to happen first – a name change. Yes I know, it’s a big change and really, it’s something that I’ve wondered whether I could avoid or not but I always return back to the decision that yes, it must change. I feel that the current one is holding me back.
Some News!
Guillaume arrived home yesterday evening with the latest NZ House & Garden in hand. The kids were at the dinner table and he opened it up to squeals of excitement, “look Mummy, you’re famous!” Okay not exactly, but to my greatest little fans I am. This month the magazine has interviewed me in the news section about renting and how I make a rental feel like home… oh yes a subject that I’ve been getting pretty good at these past few years!
Blogging Basics Class at General Knowledge
I’m really pleased to announce that I’ve been asked to teach a class on blogging for the General Knowledge series at General Trading Co.
I thought long and hard about what angle to teach and remembered when I first started blogging and how overwhelmed I felt with everything that I should or shouldn’t be doing along what tools were available to use.
Megan Morton’s The School in Auckland
I feel like I just got back from summer camp. You know the feeling? Happily exhausted, head spinning from so many new wonderful things jammed packed into a small space of time and new friendships forged.
