Blogosphere July & August Love
We’re about to wave bon voyage to winter as it makes its way over to our friends in the northern hemisphere and I tell you, couldn’t be more ready (sorry friends)! I really am a spring and summer person and I crave the feeling the sun on my skin and spending more time outdoors… What about you? Do you have a favourite season?
Moods
Are you on Instagram? It took me a while but I’m really starting to get a little addicted. It’s so nice to follow people’s lives in a more intimate way and to see the world through their eyes. I also really enjoy sharing a few snippets of my life and family. I’d love for you to follow me if you’re on Instagram so that we can interact there too!
Blogosphere Love – Picks for June
Welcome to the first day of July! It’s hard to imagine that we’re in the middle of winter here in Auckland, the sun is shining and we’ve got clear blue skies – sunshine is so good for the soul.
Insta-Move Week
It’s been just over a week in our new home and I have to say that with all of the stress and work involved in the past couple of months, it feels worth it. We’re now in a renovated villa in Ponsonby with the front part of the house keeping it’s old world charm with polished floorboards and high ceilings and the back part a little more modern with lovely views over Herne Bay with the Waitakere Ranges in the distance.
Blogosphere Love – Picks for May
I can just peak over the top of the mountains of boxes so I thought I better pop back here to say hi and to show a bit of love over on the blogosphere. Now normally I give three picks but to be truthful I have been a little busy with the move this past month, so haven’t been reading as many posts as I normally would have. These are the two posts that particularly stood out for me for the month of May:
The Art of De-Cluttering
One of the good things about moving three times in two years is that each time has been an opportunity for me to turf things. I’ve been spending the last couple of weekends sorting through all of those places that tend to accumulate stuff. You know where I’m talking about, I’m sure you’ve got some yourself; the laundry, the attic, the garage, the wardrobe and in my case, the desk that closes and is full of paperwork!
Gallivanting Finds
Do you like the sound of modern living with some old school character?
Let me introduce Kalyn. She is a New York girl with an eye for the coolest modern vintage finds for the home and she has a selection of rotating vintage stock that usually has a little turn in her home before being sold in her online etsy store, Gallivanting Girls. I actually stumbled upon her store a while back when I did a little post on affordable art and I’ve been following the store ever since. If she had a shop here in Auckland, I think I’d be visiting weekly – I really love her style.
Make Your Month
With yesterday’s news of the courageous Angelina Jolie, I thought I’d step a little off topic today and talk about prevention. Perhaps I can slip it in here with my tagline ideas to live with…
