Father Rabbit bathroom

Don’t we all dream about luxury and pampering in our lives? Some time to stop, rejuvenate and nourish our bodies and minds. With three young children I’m craving for this, especially when time for myself is pretty much non-existent at the moment and the thought of curling up and reading a good novel sounds like – heaven!  I’m sure there are a few of you out there nodding your heads right now. So I thought I’d dedicate this post to a place in the home that can make you feel, a little more human. The bathroom.

Hi everyone, I hope you had a nice weekend! I thought I’d start the week with a little book storage idea.

Our boys have a big bookshelf in their room, which also holds our daughter’s books but I find over time with all best intentions they tend to accumulate in messy piles in her room.  This weekend I found a sweet way to hold them, by using an old vintage drawer.

I’ll be honest; my husband and I don’t celebrate Valentines Day. It’s not that I don’t think it’s a nice idea, a bit like anniversaries; it’s good to have an excuse to reflect and celebrate what you have together. For some reason, early on, we decided not to and instead try to be a bit more spontaneous. It works for us. I wonder how many other people out there are the same?

Today I’m showcasing the exquisite ceramic art of Keiko Matsui. I was first introduced, and fell in love with her work during a shop tour that I did last year of a lovely Sydney store, Smallspaces. Keiko was born in Japan and moved to Sydney to study ceramics at the National Art School back in 1999 and has since gone from strength to strength, partaking in many exhibitions and most recently her first solo exhibition at the Sturt Gallery.

Styling props

Yesterday I was doing a little Etsy surfing and stumbled upon the most incredible store, The Raw Supply Co. The wannabe stylist and photographer in me literally got butterflies from my find.

Mamie Annie & Lou

Hi friends! I just walked in the door from ten glorious days away in the Wenderholm and Tawharanui Regional Parks.  After taking a break during the Christmas down period I decided to keep posting while I was away using my laptop and mobile 3G. Half way into the break we changed locations and the city girl in me was shocked when I saw that I had no 3G coverage! Sometimes we have no control over situations, so I took a deep breath and road with it. I must say that I’m feeling rather rejuvenated, I slept in often thanks to Mamie Annie, I went for long walks without the children thanks to Mamie Annie, I think I prepared only one meal, thanks again to Mamie Annie. Needless to say, as a mother of three children under five, it was a real break!
