Styling a Kid’s Bedroom with AURA Home
While my oldest child has his own bedroom, my two youngest share. They love it though. Each time I ask them, if we had another bedroom (which we don’t), would they prefer to have their own rooms, they straight out say no. In fact, quite often they beg me to let them sleep together and quite often when I check on them before I go to bed, I find them in a tight cuddle. It’s so sweet and I admit, I am a pushover (as my husband kindly reminded me this week) but I figure this lovely bond they have should be nurtured.
Hold on tight
Tomorrow is my eldest child, Paolo’s birthday. He turns eight and I simply can’t believe where these years have gone. During the first four years of his life, came his sweet brother and sister, two more blessings. This photo was taken the day my youngest, Lou was born. It was the moment that the two big brothers met their sister for the first time. The moment that I realised that we were a complete family of five and my life changed forever and for the better.
Le Petit Chef by Opinel
It’s no secret the benefits of kids getting involved in the cooking from a young age. While at times I have to admit I try to steer them out of the kitchen when I need to whip something up quickly, most of the time I embrace it and they adore it. Two things I make sure they stay clear of though, are boiling liquids and chopping things that requires a sharp knife. Opinel has changed the latter and have released a knife range for little hands called Le Petit Chef.
Decorating our Six Year Old Boy’s Bedroom
When we moved into our new rental home almost 11 months ago to the day, we were one bedroom less and one of the bedrooms was fairly small and had been used as a nursery by the previous owners. The room was painted two different colours, top and bottom and had a strip of pink painted stars around the middle. Not exactly the easiest of rooms to decorate.
Guest Post over at the Madame Love blog
Last week I did a guest post for Elodie, of the Madame Love blog. Elodie, who is a French girl living in Hamburg, writes about decoration and the wonderful world of flowers. She has just recently had her first child and is enjoying getting to know her newborn baby so while she does just that, some of us bloggers have stepped in to do a LOVEly guest post and write something on the childhood theme for her. I have to admit, it was fun to write something a little off topic. If you haven’t done so already, I’d love for you to pop over and have a read as I’m sure that this is something a lot of you may be struggling with at the moment. I’m still working on my plan mind you, it’s not as easy as I thought, but I do intend to master it;-)
