5 Blog Questions with Jaclyn Carlson
Do you remember my 5 Decorating & Food Questions series? Well due to popular demand, I’m bringing them back. This time I’ll be adding some other topics to the series, like 5 Blog Questions for one. Of course the person I wanted to lead this new line up is none other than Jaclyn Carlson, of Blog Society! You’ve no doubt heard me rave about this woman since hiring her as my coach during and after this blog’s rebranding. She is a wealth of knowledge in the industry and because of this, along with her open demeanour, she has created a huge community of bloggers that network and support one another. This woman rocks!
Digital Bravery
In the throws of the rebranding of this blog, being busy was an understatement, but something came up that I had to jump at, an online Digital Bravery Course. The biggest pull for me at the time was that the very person who was mentoring me through my rebrand (and who continues to coach me today), Jaclyn Carlson created the course. This girl really knows her stuff. She has 15 years of experience in Marketing, PR and events and is the founder of an extremely successful blog and community, Blog Society so it’s with such pleasure that I’m participating in the Digital Bravery campaign!

I feel like I’m a little bit of a serial learner. Whenever I hear about new courses my ears always prick up. Are you like that? Even better are courses or workshops that teach you how to do things that you’ve always wanted to do, just for the fun of it. You know the ones I’m talking about; shibori, kokedamas, cake decorating and hello – weaving!!!
A Food Stylist’s Life with Denise Vivaldo
Painting a tomato with red lipstick and filling the white of a fried egg with denture paste are just some of the tricks that I learnt a couple of weeks ago as a guest at Denise Vivaldo’s, Introduction to Professional Food Styling here in Auckland.
Denise Vivaldo’s Upcoming Auckland Food Styling Class
No, this is not my food styling, but it might very well be soon! Some exciting news is that I’ve been invited to attend the upcoming Denise Vivaldo’s Introduction to Professional Food Styling class in Auckland. As you can imagine, I’m over the moon about this!

Blogging Basics Class at General Knowledge
I’m really pleased to announce that I’ve been asked to teach a class on blogging for the General Knowledge series at General Trading Co.
I thought long and hard about what angle to teach and remembered when I first started blogging and how overwhelmed I felt with everything that I should or shouldn’t be doing along what tools were available to use.
Megan Morton’s The School in Auckland
I feel like I just got back from summer camp. You know the feeling? Happily exhausted, head spinning from so many new wonderful things jammed packed into a small space of time and new friendships forged.
