Styled Canvas Challenge | Moodboard Favourites
Let’s finish the week with my Styled Canvas Challenge moodboard favourites.
The first is by Gudy of Eclectic Trends. I’m showcasing it here because not only do I think it’s quite spectacular, but also because any of you that are interesting in mood boarding can learn a lot from her. Gudy teaches interactive workshops in Europe (for now) and also has an online course. I was a little lost for how to do a moodboard so decided to purchase her course a couple of months ago and found it so beneficial. It’s her thing you know, learn from the best I say! So do go and check her blog for details and other mood boarding tips.

Styled Canvas October Challenge | Unconventional Shelf
September just flew by, it feels like only a couple of weeks ago that I styled my moodboard! Now we’re on to the October Styled Canvas Challenge, with the new theme “Unconventional Shelf”. After losing the mantle when we moved house, I feel like I’m seriously lacking in display shelf space. So I thought that the Styled Canvas Challenge would be a perfect opportunity to get creative. Instead of going out and purchasing a shelf, I thought it would be fun to create one with something I already have in the home. I ended up using one of the benches to the German beer table that was once our outdoor table. You may have seen that I now use the table as my desk so the benches have been sitting outside with no use, until now.

Styled Canvas Challenge | Vintage Today favourites
Thank you to everyone that participated in the Styled Canvas Challenge Vintage Today theme for July and extending into August. I’ve loved looking at everyone’s little vintage treasures and how they are used in the modern world.

Styled Canvas September Challenge | Moodboard
The September #StyledCanvasChallenge is about getting back to the basics of styling by creating a moodboard. It’s the best way to truly express a theme or feel before moving on to style a scene. I know that a lot of you love to create moodboards but I have to admit, it’s something that I’ve resisted. I’m not entirely sure why, but I just didn’t have the confidence to do it. Perhaps it was the fear of not creating something aesthetically beautiful. I certainly felt out of my comfort zone, but that’s how we learn right?
Styled Canvas Challenge | June Favourite
I had three beautiful blogs who took part in the June #styledcanvaschallenge. As it’s early days and I was so blown away by each of the entries, I thought I’d feature all three of them here on the blog. There were also many entries over on Instagram so today and tomorrow, I will regram my two IG favourites on my feed.
#styledcanvaschallenge | Vintage Today
Are you ready? This month’s Styled Canvas Challenge is, “vintage today”. How do you see the use of vintage in the modern world?
**Extended to the month of August due to moving house**
Before I begin, I have to say that I had some really lovely entries for last month’s “breakfast in bed” theme on various blogs and around Instagram. As the theme officially closed yesterday, I’ll take the next week to go over them and feature my favourite in both categories here on the 15th of this month. Thank you to everyone that took part, it’s going to be tough to choose!
#styledcanvaschallenge | Breakfast in Bed
Ta dah! The #styledcanvaschallenge has officially begun and I can’t wait to see all of your “breakfast in bed” scenes that you’ve styled over the internet.
In case you’re wondering what on earth I’m talking about… I’m calling all budding stylists, Instagramers, bloggers and creatives to take part in a monthly styling challenge on their blog and/or Instagram. You can have fun honing your skills! Each mid month I will announce a theme for you to style the following month. There are some rules to keep it fresh though, so make sure you pop over to this post to read about it and see what it means for you.
