The Art Of The Leisurely Breakfast

1.  At the first sound of children stirring, lovingly nudge partner and remind him that it’s your turn to lie in

2.  Quickly reach for the earplugs and pull covers over head

3.  Wake at your own leisure but only when certain that said partner has taken the kids out to the café

4.  Put the kettle on and make a big pot of tea (think maximum refills)

5.  Slice bread, add lashings of artisan butter and jam (my favourite is boysenberry)

6.  Bring everything to the table

7.  Ensure a good selection of magazines are on hand along with laptop or tablet to catch up on favourite blogs

8.  Pour the tea, milk first then the tea and commence…

This is how I intend to spend my Saturday morning. How about you? What ever you get up to, I hope that it’s a good one and that you get some important “me” time in there somewhere.
