This month our friends at Urban Jungle Bloggers HQ asked us to show us our “plant shefie”. So here is mine… a neglected plant brought back in from the garden, a thriving one relocated from the kitchen windowsill, and another that recently had their mother removed after it grew into a strange shape in search of the winter sun. After this exercise, I realise how nice it is to see a few plants in this part of the house, there’s certainly enough light for them here, so a couple will definitely be staying for a while.

I haven’t introduced any new indoor plants this month because the other weekend I stocked up on a load of edibles for my back deck area which I’m super excited about. I hope that I will be able to show you this little container garden sometime soon, that is if they survive, as they need a lot more care than the succulents I mainly have success with. Fingers crossed.

Would you like to show us your plant shelfie? Perhaps you’d like a little challenge of throwing one together? You’ll even see that some bloggers have made some makeshift shelves in the name of the challenge. Anyone can join in and it’s loads of fun. You have until November 15 share yours and this month Igor and Judith have a little prize for their five favourites. See the end of the post for details.

Have a great Wednesday everyone.

Mel xx

Thanks Doris. My husband sketched and measured up the bookshelf, we bought the materials and we had it build for us although we have a big mark on the top from a plant a long time ago…

Such a nice bookcase plant shelfie, Mel! Love the Ericofon and the collection of beautiful books and plants. Very exciting you recently got some edible plants. Looking forward to seeing your container garden! xx

Beautiful, Mel! Love your arrangement of books, I always find it quite challenging to arrenge the books on a shelf so that it would look pleasant to the eye.
Fingers crossed that your container garden will turn out well and all the plants will survive :)

    Hi Mel!

I can see my two favorite things a font and succulent. Looks lovely!
Yesterday I noticed that one plant (don’t remember the name) I have grows well in small room that is full of (still) my things. And same plant in living room doens’t grow so well…and the windows are in same side of the house…weird I think. Going to move the other one to this small room too. I have also plants in my workspace. They makes the place more cosy.

    Have a great day!

So weird! I’d like to know how it goes next to the healthy one. Perhaps plants are just like people, some healthier than others and for no apparent reason? Hugs to you. Mel x

Thanks Yvonne. Yes I hope that it all works well. I’ve started small, a couple of tomato plants, lettuce, herbs, strawberries and rocket… see how I go with that. The kids love it! Mel x

I nearly didn’t join in this time either because of time constraints but find it such a tempting challenge I couldn’t resist. Thanks for your sweet comment. Hope you’re well lovely. Big hugs xx M
