AMANDA DZIEDZIC HANDBLOWN GLASS1

Just yesterday, I discovered glass artist, Amanda Dziedzic through her newly released collaboration with Gorman Hometime. I love how Kit Gorman works with talented local and international artists and this particular collection is the sweetest limited edition glass carafe and tumbler set, all hand blown. I would have loved to have shown them here but the images were a little too small. They’d make a such a gorgeous gift, so do pop over to take a look.

Amanda is not exactly new to the scene though and it seems already has a bit of a name for herself. She was featured on The Design Files last year, and her glass domes above were created especially to be on display in the TDF Open House. Looking at her work, you can understand why.

I’m kind of obsessing over blown glass at the moment, especially coloured, and Amanda’s collection really is something else. Some of it is purely decorative, others a little more practical, but everything that you see here and on her site is of impeccable craftsmanship and taste. I just wish I had more shelf space.

oh i love her work Mel, absolutely beautiful and divine. The photography of her work is stunning, whoever did the photography and styling, so very well done. I’d love to own the whole Yumemiru collection :) it’s like a mushroom forest. I also had a “wow” moment when I saw the main image of the Ikebana Australiana collection. Absolutely amazing.!! x J
