Couleur café
Que j’aime ta couleur café
Coffee and plants. I’m not sure if Serge would agree with me, but it could be the new coffee and cigarettes non?
I couldn’t resist the latest Urban Jungle Bloggers challenge, especially seeing that I’m lucky enough that my husband works for Nespresso, and we live and breath coffee in our house.
There’s something seducing about coffee. It suggests a moment in time: A flat white at a café with a friend, a latte at home as I move on to the next writing project, an espresso at the end of the meal… Of course my kitchen houses a number of plants, especially on the kitchen windowsill, so they are the perfect companions. The coolest thing with this subject is that without plants, there wouldn’t be coffee.
Today I’ve moved things around a little for the fun. There’s a little concrete planter that I made with my very hands (more of that later…), an air plant that I really must find a proper holder for, a succulent in a jar that needs to be repotted, and my favourite, the succulent in the terracotta pot. This was made for me by my five year old at kindy for Mothers Day and has been decorated with jewels and painted like a pro… I just treasure this sweet gift.
Have a great weekend everyone and I hope you manage to get in some coffee time.
Mel xx

Oh those gorgeous photos Mel! I still haven’t got time to participate in the Urban Jungle Bloggers Challenge, but I definitely will – wow those beautiful coffee moments at your place could actually make convert a non-coffee drinker like me into a coffee addict:-) Treats for all senses, thanks for sharing your inspiration dear Mel and hope you’re enjoying the week! Big hug, Mette
Oh thanks Mette! Hope you’re enjoying your week too xx
I did not realise you joined this month….
Nespresso…. I must admit I’ve never had one as I don’t drink coffee but it’s well loved everywhere. Of course, even I know the UK TV ad with George Clooney:-))
Your little planters are gorgeous and so are your photos xx
We’re coffee obsessed at our house as well! We’ve had to buy our coffees for the last couple of weeks as our Nespresson milk frother is broken. Miss it so much.
Oh no that’s terrible! Hope it gets fixed or replaced soon. Have a lovely day Catherine. xx
Hi Mel, I agree with you! Plants just make a wonderful addition to the richness of coffee. And then add a friend in there and there’s nothing better! I love your vignette :) Big hugs xx
Thanks Jocelyn, hope you and your gorgeous little man are doing well. Mel x
Lucky you! That sounds like a steady coffee consume you are having there. I have a Nespresso machine too but can’t help it and still love having my coffee on the street. That’s one of the reasons I get to know new spots in town. It’s nice to have you back, Mel! xx
Nothing beats the ambience of a cafe experience! You’re so lucky to live in such a vibrant place like Barcelona with so many new places to always discover. Have fun at your workshop this weekend. xx
Ohhhh ever since I read your post announcement on twitter earlier, I have that song stuck in my head ;) And I agree with Igor, plants & coffee is a much more healthy lifestyle. Love love love your plant collection and love discovering new ones every time you participate! Thanks Mel! xx
hehe, me too! Sorry but it is such a cool song;-) Always a pleasure to join in Judith xx
I think it’s definitely the new coffee and cigarette – and it is much more healthy!! Great contribution Mel! Thank you for joining us again!
Oh certainly a lot healthier… Thanks Igor:)
