Friday is here, a long weekend in New Zealand and I feel like I can take a big deep breath. It’s been a crazy and fun couple of months for me since the relaunch. It’s been a big week and I’ve got lots of things coming up, so I thought I’d dedicate today’s post to what’s going on!
You may have seen the “shop” tab on my site. I’m working on it and I’m hoping to have it up and running within a couple of weeks. I’ll be starting the shop with an edit of gorgeous handmade product, along with an e-book that I wrote about blogging. I’m really excited to get this out there so I’ll be focusing on working on this over the course of the next couple of weeks. I actually have a couple up my sleeve but hope to launch my first in about a month. This will be targeted towards newbies in the blogging industry and is full of information and tips that I wish I knew when I began.
This week I had a couple of lovely surprises. The first was on Monday, when Tasha from the Monsoon Living blog wrote the sweetest article about Styled Canvas and me. You may have already caught the link that I shared on social media, but if you didn’t, you can have a read here. While you’re there, have a look through her beautiful online store. She specialises in stunning Asian furniture and modern homewares.
On Tuesday I picked up a copy of the latest Homestyle magazine and saw that Styled Canvas got a mention as an online find on page 14 and I’m absolutely thrilled about that as you can imagine! It’s a brilliant issue. My favourite would have to be the editor, Alice’s report on Salone del Mobile and an update on Gem Adam’s home renovation. That girl has so much style! Oh and a gorgeous piece including a tutorial on Markantonia who I featured here.
It’s been a huge six weeks of giveaways and as I write this, there’s only a few days left to enter my very last one – a gorgeous entertainer pack from Father Rabbit. It’s all happening over on Instagram so pop over and enter. Who knows, you might be the one to receive this brown paper package tied up with string in the post soon!
On Monday I will be publishing my first #styledcanvaschallenge with the theme “breakfast in bed”. Are you up for a styling challenge too? You have the month of June to come up with something, I’ll be creating a pinterest board dedicated to your styling shots and I’ll publish my favourite here on the blog. Details here.
