5 Stylish Easter Decorating Ideas
With less than two weeks until Easter, I thought it was about time that I add a little seasonal touch to the house. I won’t do a lot, just something simple to represent the holiday, and of course get the children a little excited about the impending Easter bunny visit, or the cloche… It gets a little confusing this time of year with our French/Australian traditions.
A New Bedroom Look with The Foxes Den
I had some fun doing some styling for The Foxes Den over the weekend. With the change of seasons, the one area in the home that I find needs to adapt, is the bedroom and with cooler weather arriving, I needed something a little cosier.
Glamping Around the World
I’m dreaming of the wilderness, tall trees, open fields and that feeling of being one with nature. To feel the warmth of a mug of tea in my hands as I sit outside breathing in pure air. I might even spot some wildlife. Perhaps I’ll pick up a pen and write, open a book or perhaps the scenery and my thoughts will be enough.
French Country Collections’ Winter Table & a Flatbread Recipe
On Sunday I developed a nasty head cold. I was at my worst on Monday and feeling rather sorry for myself. The autumn sun was shining outside but all I felt like doing was snuggling up on my couch and eating comfort food. That afternoon, I received a delivery from French Country Collections. The impeccably styled catalogue included suggested everything “comfort” that I was craving that day; rich moody hues, a seat by the warm fireplace and an enviable table setting. The blues are set off beautifully with the classic gold accessories. Strangely enough, this summer loving girl was looking forward to winter. You heard it here first!

Styling a Kid’s Bedroom with AURA Home
While my oldest child has his own bedroom, my two youngest share. They love it though. Each time I ask them, if we had another bedroom (which we don’t), would they prefer to have their own rooms, they straight out say no. In fact, quite often they beg me to let them sleep together and quite often when I check on them before I go to bed, I find them in a tight cuddle. It’s so sweet and I admit, I am a pushover (as my husband kindly reminded me this week) but I figure this lovely bond they have should be nurtured.
The Power of Planning
My life looks like this. Sometimes I’m so completely organised and I work productively, and other times I feel like I’m working blindfolded and waste a lot of time. It’s silly really, because I know exactly the secret to working efficiently and it’s not at all difficult to do. It just requires two things; time and the power of planning.
