Glamping Around the World

Glamping around the world.

I’m dreaming of the wilderness, tall trees, open fields and that feeling of being one with nature. To feel the warmth of a mug of tea in my hands as I sit outside breathing in pure air. I might even spot some wildlife. Perhaps I’ll pick up a pen and write, open a book or perhaps the scenery and my thoughts will be enough.

Glamping around the world

I always find that the holidays where I feel truly refreshed are the ones where I’m connected with nature. While there may be some dirt between my toes and my nail polish chipped, my head is so clear and free from all of the noise of life. I love camping, I grew up camping and have done a fair bit of it in my time, but it’s a lot of work. I put off these trips because of the organisation it takes, the equipment needed and the time it takes to set up camp and pack up… and unpack when we get home.

Enter glamping! I’m sure most of you are familiar with the term. I’m not quite sure when it began, but I first heard about it about six or seven years ago and the idea of luxury or “glamorous camping” ticked all of the boxes:

  1. In the nature – check
  2. Don’t have to set up camp in the rain – check
  3. Comfy bed – check
  4. Don’t have to fill the car to the roof with equipment – check

You just need to turn up with your personal belongings and enjoy nature comfortably.

Glamping around the world,

I recently heard from Glamping Hub, a central hub with thousands of glamping locations around the world that you can book on the site. It’s such a cool idea and I thought I had to share this gem of a site with you. It’s so easy to plan your getaway with a difference!

The owners of glamping locations around the world have become really creative with what they offer these days. You’ll find tree house accommodation, to yurts, tipis, safari tents to caves to name just a few. The standards also vary depending on what you’re after and your budget. If you feel like sleeping in a designer tree house in Sweden (with a tree house sauna of course!), that’s available. So is a luxury tent in Slovenia, or an eco pod in The States. Just type in your location, budget and see what comes up. Or for the fun, play a game of Russian roulette when deciding on your next holiday and simply choose the style of glamping that you’re after and go from there.

You can literally book your itinerary on this site and go glamping around the world.

So when is it the school holidays again?
