bloggers christmas wish list

Lena from Minamoka

Personal gift: My personal wish would be a class I can take. Some me-time. I have two kids and work almost full time. If I have some free time I like to read the newspaper or write a blogpost. But I’d like to be forced to get outside, be challenged, get my hands dirty, do something that doesn’t have to do with my work (the film and publishing world) or my family. I’d love to take ceramics classes, for example – but to make it easier to put a link here, I’ll suggest a photography class that includes exploring the city.

Gift for the home: My personal wish list for the home is the grid blanket by bastisRIKE. Friederike Schoen is a super talented designer with high quality standards, the blanket for example is made of 100% organic cotton, it’s made in Germany by local artisans and the price is more than fair  – 150 Euro for a HUGE woven blanket that can even cover a double bed.

Gift beyond yourself: The hardest part. The list is endless! Where to start? But if I have to pick one, I’d wish that refugees from all over the world can live a normal life and have the same rights and chances as everyone else.

Hege from Hege in France

Personal gift: I normally only wish for things for our home, but this year I would actually like some things for myself… This dress from Hush.

Gift for the home: The Afternoon chair from Menu.

Gift beyond yourself: Good health to all!!

Jocelyn from The Inner Interior

Personal gift: Oh wow, ok this is really hard for me because I am getting what I believe to be the most special personal Christmas gift….a baby! With my due date approaching in just eight days I am about to embark on another personal journey, motherhood. I cannot ask for anything greater or sweeter than this precious gift.

Gift for the home: I would love a new sofa for my living room. Our house is cozy and my office is upstairs which is where I see most of my clients and the women I mentor however it is nice to sit in the living room when we can. The sofa I have is beige, really beige and even though it is beautiful I would love to get something with a little more character. I love this one here from Anthropologie, especially is this petal color! I love the idea that when people come into our home they can breathe freely and relax knowing they are welcome no matter what.

Gift beyond yourself: This may not seem like it is beyond mySelf but I assure you it is. My wish is that my story and experiences be shared with others openly and without a filter to help inspire and encourage others to never give up.  It sounds cliché I know. It has been my experience that sharing truth in the form of a story is incredibly helpful to people who are sometimes stuck or don’t have anyone to turn to. My sincere wish is that I may be used as an instrument to help others. I certainly see this as being way beyond myself…the part of my mind that still desires to judge my Self is simply encouraged to still itself every moment of the day in order for my assignments to be heard and directed.

Kreetta from Gretchen Gretchen

Personal gift: I dream about this coat… :)

Gift for the home: My love – music with cool style.

Gift beyond yourself: I wish we get back to more peaceful and environmental focused time in the world and I’d like to give  a mammography for my friends and family ladies because we have started to come that age where one have to think this matter.

Corinne from Emerald Green Interiors

Personal gift: I am smitten with Mondocubo’s cups and absolutely love them. I would probably use the water/wine ones for sipping tea all morning long.

Gift for the home: A friend of almost twenty years, Tatiane’s latest paintings are gorgeous. This one is definitely one of my favorites.

Gift beyond yourself: I ‘d love to see more projects like The Ocean Cleanup brought to life and funded. As I grow older I am increasingly concerned with the state of the earth we will be handing down to our children.

Judith from Joelix

Personal gift: A real holiday to Norway, Portugal, Iceland, Greece, Israel (or anywhere really!) with my husband.

Gift for the home: Vola taps designed by Arne Jacobsen for our new bathroom. I’d like them in pink or yellow!   (pics attached, because their website isn’t very visual)

Gift beyond yourself: More love and common sense for everyone.

hahaha thanks guys! I think the Vola taps would seriously stretch our budget though, as we’d need at least 3, but one can dream right? And thank you Mel for including me in the bloggers wishlist! Have a wonderful break and looking forward to “seeing” you & your revamped blog in the new year. Merry Christmas! xx
