Most of us enjoy a good kitchen before and after. It’s a way to get an idea of what we might be up against for the day we undertake the task, and also to gain a little inspiration. My lovely friend in the UK, Amy, has kindly shared some photos and her kitchen renovation story with us. Meet Ildhane, an eccentric bird candleholder and stunning debut design by Nedre Foss, a studio formed by Anderssen & Voll and definitely a Styled Canvas Favourite.

I’ve long admired the work of these two Norweigen designers, Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll, and previously featured a collaboration of their work for the Food Work Project on the blog. The two are most known for their designs for brands like Wrong for Hay, Muuto, Magis, Erik Jørgensen, Kvadrat and Foscarini. Now they’ve branched out and formed Nedre Foss and I’m excited to see what they will come up with next.

I had a lot of fun this weekend styling a scene for a Farrow & Ball challenge to celebrate the launch of their new 2015 wallpaper collection, inspired by the British Country. The theme for the challenge was to create a vignette to represent this.

I’m really excited about next year. Now that I’m getting a little more time on my hands with the children and school and my youngest at kindy an extra day, I’ve decided to branch out and take on more work. Am I crazy? Nope, I truly love what I do and quite frankly, it energises me, I feel very lucky.
