My Stockholm Bedroom Makeover
One place in our apartment that needed a serious update, was our bedroom, especially the bed linen. We were literally interchanging between a really old duvet set (all of the buttons had fallen off), and a newer one that just wasn’t such a great fit – hence barely showing my bedroom here and on Instagram. Recently I gave myself a little project give the bed and room a bit of a makeover.
Stora Trenddagen’s 5 Big Interior Trends to look out for in 2018
Hi everyone! Yesterday I attended a trend presentation, Stora Trenddagen, (Big Trend Day) here in Stockholm by Stefan Nilsson. This guy is known as the expert in trend forecasting here in Sweden, and goes by the name, Trend Stefan. I actually spent time with him during the blog tour of the Dutch Design Week last year and he’s such a great guy, so I was eager to check it out. There was one minor hitch that I faced, and that was that the presentation would be in Swedish and mine is almost, well, non-existent. I did however surprise myself by how much I understood, which I put down to Stefan being such an entertaining presenter! But don’t worry, I’m not going to lead you down the wrong track as far as this year’s trends go, I came home armed with a trend-forecasting booklet as backup!

Christmas Wishes from Stockholm
Hello everyone. Just two and a half days until the big day and I had to pop in here to wish you all a Happy Christmas. The season is just so beautiful here in Stockholm, I have never quite felt Christmas in all of its glory like it is done here. You can’t help but get drawn in to all of the celebrations and rich traditions. Would you like for me to give you a little rundown of what goes on?
My Stockholm Apartment Workspace
Hello everyone! I hope you’re all set for a great weekend. While today is really overcast here, it looks like we’re in for some beautiful Autumn weather over the next couple of days. One thing about living in Sweden is that you get to experience all of the seasons and each of them has something special to offer and to look forward to. Thinking about our lovely walks in the crisp air when we first arrived here, I realised that we landed in Stockholm a year ago yesterday. Can you believe it? Time has flown by so quickly. We actually flew out to Cyprus the very next day, so officially we’ve been living here a year next Thursday. I also realised the other day that I haven’t shown you much of our Stockholm apartment, so I thought today I’ll share some photos of my little workspace with you. Fancy a peek?
Buying for the Home with a Purpose and a Conscience
I feel like we’ve been purchasing a lot for our home lately. It tends to happen when we move into a new place. The configurations and the size of the homes are different, coupling that with our children getting older and their ever changing needs. At these times we find ourselves donating things that we no longer have use for and adding what is missing. Usually we find that the purging has outweighed the adding, so moving a lot has been good for us over the years. This time, it has been different.

Urban Jungle Bloggers Book Giveaway & New Beginnings
Before leaving NZ, I was super excited to be asked to contribute to my Urban Jungle Blogger friends, Igor and Judith’s book, Urban Jungle, Living and Styling with Plants. Since its launch at the end of last year, I’ve had a couple of the books to giveaway. This all coincided with the big move to Stockholm and settling in to my new life and well, all of that stuff just got in the way. Plus, I had to re-create my very own urban jungle at home from scratch after leaving all of my beloved plants back in NZ.
