Before leaving NZ, I was super excited to be asked to contribute to my Urban Jungle Blogger friends, Igor and Judith’s book, Urban Jungle, Living and Styling with Plants. Since its launch at the end of last year, I’ve had a couple of the books to giveaway. This all coincided with the big move to Stockholm and settling in to my new life and well, all of that stuff just got in the way. Plus, I had to re-create my very own urban jungle at home from scratch after leaving all of my beloved plants back in NZ.

In comes this month’s theme, “New Beginnings”… How perfect to combine the giveaway and showing you my new green family as they transit into spring. For the occasion, I brought most of them together for a little plant party just for you!

I have one English and one German copy of the book to send to two lucky winners! You’ll find the details of how to enter at the end of this post. For now, I’ll give you a little peek of what’s inside.

The book is packed full of styling ideas from the blogging community (me included), ten popular plant  in focus, DIY’s, easy-care plants for beginners or the more experienced, along with five tours of plant loving homes. There are also beautiful illustrations by Saar Manche jotted throughout the book, giving it a unique twist. It truly is a must have book for your home. And I’m not the only one to think this, already it has gone into its fifth print run!!!

As for new beginnings. My new green family survived the dark winter happily here in Stockholm. I’m sure that having them beside big windows helped enormously. Building my collection again was a priority when we moved in, plants in the home truly contribute to a warm happy environment for me. Right now I’m starting to see them spring to life with lots of new shoots and little flower buds on the tips. I think now might be the time to give them a little bit of an extra boost with some plant food.

If you’d like to win a copy of Urban Jungle, Living and Styling with Plants in either English or German, Please pop over to my Instagram feed and do the following:

  1. Follow me on Instagram if you don’t already
  2. Tag two plant loving friends on this image who you think might like to enter also
  3. don’t forget to comment whether you’d like the English or German version

Too easy!

I will randomly select the two winners next Thursday, 4 May and announce the winners over on Instagram.

If you just can’t wait, you can find out more information on the book, along with all of the links of how to  get yourself a copy here.

Much love and best of luck!

Mel x

    Hi Mel

What a treat! Really enjoyed taking some time out, to mooch around your beautiful home and plants! They look very settled and happy in their new environment. I agree, that the beautiful light airy rooms have probably helped the smooth transition. I love your cheese plant, I have one too! Not such a wopper thought! I have recently moved it from our summer room to our living room. It’s amazing what a small change can make. You really notice it when your ten year old son says how much better the room looks for it!! I will have to nip over to Instagram and entre the competition….fingers crossed! Have a good day lovely! x :)

Thanks Lolly and glad you enjoyed it:) I have to say I think that those big windows probably helped us survive the long winter here also! Good luck in the draw and big hugs. Mel x
