I had no idea how many Swedish traditions there were until I arrived in Stockholm. There are so many in fact, that there is an entire 160-page book dedicated to them. We are having a lot of fun discovering them and deciding which ones we will take with us when we move back home.

SisterMAG meets SCHOTT CERAN event | photo by Timo Roth

Last Friday I flew to Cologne to attend a blogger event hosted by SisterMAG and SCHOTT CERAN to celebrate their latest product glass ceramic range, MiradurTM. I heard recently from a reliable source that the team at SisterMag really know how to put on events and it’s always so great to spend some time with fellow bloggers in person, so I jumped at the chance.

Can you believe it’s been a little over two months since I moved to Sweden? I love every minute being here and each weekend we explore a little more around our neighbourhood. Ildhane nedre foss

Meet Ildhane, an eccentric bird candleholder and stunning debut design by Nedre Foss, a studio formed by Anderssen & Voll and definitely a Styled Canvas Favourite.

I’ve long admired the work of these two Norweigen designers, Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll, and previously featured a collaboration of their work for the Food Work Project on the blog. The two are most known for their designs for brands like Wrong for Hay, Muuto, Magis, Erik Jørgensen, Kvadrat and Foscarini. Now they’ve branched out and formed Nedre Foss and I’m excited to see what they will come up with next.
