Urban Jungle Bloggers | Plants & Art
When I received the theme of Plants & Art for the September Urban Jungle Bloggers, I knew that I needed to keep it really simple and focus on just one plant and one work of art because what I had in mind look like they’re made for each other. These two beauties deserve equal starring roles here, like two principal dancers. They both share the same movement and I think that the green and pink just go together so beautifully too.
Mini Grandi Artist
I’m having so much fun redecorating the new home and just the other day had some new prints by a New Zealand artist, Sophie of Mini Grandi Artist framed. I fell in love with Sophie’s dreamy watercolours inspired by the wild and beautiful Wanaka landscapes after discovering her work, like so many artists on Instagram. I now have them on display in my entry and our bedroom. What do you think?
Learn | Tea Pea School
I feel like I’m a little bit of a serial learner. Whenever I hear about new courses my ears always prick up. Are you like that? Even better are courses or workshops that teach you how to do things that you’ve always wanted to do, just for the fun of it. You know the ones I’m talking about; shibori, kokedamas, cake decorating and hello – weaving!!!
The Styled Print Giveaway | Print By George
For week three of my giveaways, I’m giving one lucky reader anywhere in the world a chance to win a gorgeous Print By George photography print of their choice.
I was introduced to Georgie by Sian of Est. Magazine earlier in the year after she did a feature on her. I first saw the print of Bondi Icebergs (below) on Instagram, which I raved about. Sian then told me that Georgie had just relocated to the west coast of the New Zealand’s South Island from the UK to be with her Kiwi beau and she put us in touch. A couple of weeks later, Georgie and I were catching up over coffee in Auckland and we hit it off immediately. This Instagram world is fantastic for connecting with people!
Totokaelo Online Store
Totokaelo is an online store with a flawlessly curated collection of art and object for the home. I seriously had to contain myself with the amount of images to show here today because it’s one of those rare stores where I would happily purchase pretty much anything – if finances (and space) allowed that is.
On The Wall | Yvonne from Mouseblossom
What kind of interesting pieces of work do you get on the wall of a passionate illustrator? I was so curious to find this out, so I asked Yvonne de Jonge of Mouseblossom blog, to join us for this month’s “On The Wall” feature. As you’ll discover, she has an amazing collection and I was so happy to see that she included one of her illustrations to showcase here today. Yvonne is from the Netherlands and along with her blog, she has an Etsy store featuring her work which includes some very sweet porcelain brooches, so do take a look at that and pop over to her lovely blog to say hello.
Kuzana Ogg Flash Sale 50% off collectable artworks
I love a house full of artwork. For me a mix of different styles make for an interesting home. It could be a wall collage or a statement piece above the lounge, walls are there to be decorated I say! While I love including a mix of mediums, to me nothing beats an original painting, there’s something so noble about it and it will always be there to keep, pass on to others or even sell.

Blule | Daily Illustrations
On my speedy trip back to Sydney last week I had coffee with a friend in Bondi and she had her friend, Clementine join us. It turns out that Clementine recently moved to Sydney from Paris and is a super talented illustrator or what she calls herself a doodle designer under her brand, “Blule“. Hearing that, I was pretty curious to see her style.
