Monmouth Glass Studio

When we look at a beautiful artisan product, quite often we are unaware of the beauty that takes place as the makers create their craft. I had the chance to witness Isaac and Steve of Monmouth Glass Studio, in the act of blowing glass earlier this month and the experience has certainly left an impression. AMANDA DZIEDZIC HANDBLOWN GLASS1

Just yesterday, I discovered glass artist, Amanda Dziedzic through her newly released collaboration with Gorman Hometime. I love how Kit Gorman works with talented local and international artists and this particular collection is the sweetest limited edition glass carafe and tumbler set, all hand blown. That alone is quite an achievement considering how worlds apart their cultures seem.

Today I thought I’d leave you for the week with something that completely took my breath away when I saw it yesterday.

The Woods is a second collaboration between Norwegian design studios StokkeAustad and Andreas Engesvik and was inspired by the forests and the lights of the north. I love the form of this exquisite hand blown glass sculpture of seven trees; its simplicity captures the colour and beauty of the hand blown glass.
