The serendipity of life never ceases to amaze me. Even more so thanks to this wonderful World Wide Web that we so love to play on. For this Urban Jungle Bloggers, Hanging Plants edition, let me take you on a little story.
It began with Pinterest. About nine months ago I pinned an image of some gorgeous hanging planters by TW Workshop onto my secret board for a future blog post idea (I’ve just added it to my regular plant board now which you can see here). A couple of months later I was drawn to it for my NZ House & Garden column, so I looked through the website and chose some gorgeous ceramics weaved with cane to feature. I emailed Tracy who makes them to request some images and during one of the email exchanges, she mentioned that she’d be holidaying in NZ in a few months.
Speed forward to last month and we met up for a coffee before she took off on her campervan adventure. The two of us hit it off immediately. The fact that we both sported the same hairstyle was a good icebreaker – I mean exactly the same!!! To top it off, we both have a part of our eye a different colour.
The night before Tracy flew back to LA, we went out to dinner and she so kindly presented me with this beautiful ceramic planter. My heart literally skipped a beat. Isn’t it stunning?
To complete the circle, just that morning I was out looking for a hanging planter to feature in this series and couldn’t find one. More than perfect.
On another note, my new look blog is an inch away from going live. I can’t tell you exactly when this will happen but it’s so close! Remember that I will have a new name too but it will still be me I promise, just a better representation of the content along with some new additions. If you haven’t already, make sure you subscribe to my newsletter to be the first to know.
